A new version of LiveSpy, the award-winning webcam browser for
the Roku HD1000, has just been released.

New features in version 1.1 include:

* Improved camera advance with cleaner transition.
* Improved font scaling to match camera size better.

You can download LiveSpy or view screen shots by visiting the
LiveSpy home page:

http://frequal.com/LiveSpy/roku/index.html

or you can download it directly from this URL:

http://frequal.com/LiveSpy/roku/LiveSpyRoku110.zip

LiveSpy updates your screen with images from web cameras
regularly throughout the day. It automates the webcam browsing
process, downloading images in the background and displaying
them as they are ready. It includes an extensive list of
cameras. You can choose to watch events at one place in the
world, or to cycle between all of the available cameras. With
LiveSpy, you gain a window on the world.

LiveSpy is compact and easy-to-use. Just unzip it on a
writable shared drive or Compact Flash card, refresh the share,
run LiveSpy, and enjoy your tour of scenes from around the
world!

LiveSpy is compatible with the Roku HD1000 and requires an
internet connection. LiveSpy is shareware.

The CCF on the Roku website doesn't include the codes for the step forward
and step back buttons (the ones that look like |<< and >>|). I've been
trying to learn those codes with no success. Does anyone have them?

Thanks!

Joe, IIRC, NEXT_TRACK and PREV_TRACK are mapped to the Channel Up and Channel
Down hard buttons on the Pronto.

Aha! That was it. They were mapped to the two center hard buttons at the
bottom, not to the Channel Up/Down buttons along the right edge. Wonder
if that's because I'm using a new generation Pronto (TSU3000) and the CCF
was written for the older kind.

Thanks to both of you!

i have a TSU2000 and the |<< and >>| are on the bottom hard buttons.

speaking of the ccf, can anyone explain what to do with the "stop" button on the
extras page, and the User buttons and Repeating user buttons?

The stop button was a requested addition for users with prontos wanting to be
able to stop music playback (as opposed to just pausing). In addition,
third-party developers can use the stop button as well as the user* buttons to
allow for additional functionaliy in their programs.

I'm very glad you included the stop button. I'd wanted to be able to do
that! I think I'd move the |<< and >>| buttons onto the screen proper,
though, if you do another version. There's space.

Also, from my experience in using the HD1000 Music player, if I only pause
the player, it still does not "release" the digital audio output. I am using
an "automatic" sensing Component Video distributor which also handles the
switching of the audio for each component video channel. Is there a way to
get a "stop" command function on the existing HD1000 remote?

No, sorry. There's no way to get Stop without the Pronto CCF.

However, the digital audio output should be released if you pause the player
AND exit the music application back to the main menu.

Hm. It should be released, I think. I'll file a bug to investigate.
