Anyone want to Beta Test new SoundBridge software?

Hello everyone,

We're looking for a few beta testers for the upcoming 1.1 firmware update. It
fixes a number of bugs that many have reported.

If you're interested, drop me an email that includes your name, email address
and the MAC address of your preferred SoundBridge interface. The MAC address
can be found under System Configuration->Show [Wired Ethernet|Wi-Fi] Status.

its a short list:

1. Play counter when using slimserver is wrong sometimes
2. Audio drops every 45 minutes
3. L/R Speakers are 5db different
4. AAC files don't play in Germany (and other non-English languages)
5. play more internet radio stations

If you have any other issues that you think need fixing, let us know.

1.1 is just a planned quick update of "serious" issues found after ship.
No new features will be included in 1.1.

I'm using an SMC2804WBR(G) wireless router with an SMC2670W wireless to
ethernet adapter. I have set the SoundBridge configuration manually.
I also have available a D-Link DWL-G810, if you should want me to try that.

we haven't tested this combination, but the symptoms you describe are typical for slow or buggy wifi connections.

one test you can do is to telnet into port 4444 on the soundbridge, and ping various other addresses, and see if the pings go quickly.
