HD1000 add ons - random play and audio bypass needed

I'm very happy with my Roku HD1000 (with Gallery Pack) but wish it had two more features-

I'd like to be able to have it display images randomly as well as sequentially (as now set up.) A simple button on the Menu would be great.

Additionally - I have it set up so all my other AV runs through Roku and then to my plasma/audio system.

It's cool that I can hear audio files from the HD1000 while viewing its' images, but I'd like to have the choice of letting my own audio system music play while watching a Roku slideshow.

Can this be done?

Can both be a downloadable software upgrade?

Hi Chris,

The randomization is certainly possible, and is a popular request that we
could certainly include via update. We haven¹t finalized feature set for
the next HD1000 upgrade, so I can¹t say whether it will be coming soon.

I believe that the audio configuration you suggested is also possible, but
I will have to double check. If I¹m not mistaken, the video and audio
bypasses are separately controlled, so this could be an option.
