I would love to be able to watch an HD TS file of stream a DVD off my HD and be able to hit a button to go back xx seconds like TiVo does.

Thanks Jeff

Jeff-

I'll tell you how I solved this problem, though perhaps a bit awkward for
the average user. I have a wireless laptop in my viewing room that I use
for multimedia control. On it I run a remote desktop of the server. I then
serve my files via VLC. This arrangement allows me to freely position to
any point in the video file I'm watching (usually HDTV TS). Actually I find
it easier to control things this way than using OSD's and the remote
control. The only thing I don't like about this arrangement is that if I
pause VLC, CinemaSix shuts down.

CinemaSix is very close to being able to do this, so if you are patient, it
will come. I would prefer to have ReplayTV functionality, though ;) 7 seconds
back or 30 seconds forward, along with N-minute back or forward.

Either one would be great.
However, the latest version of CinemaSix doesn't work very well for me.
I posted something over on AVS. See below.

-Will it play a PAL DVD?
-I backed up some of my PAL region free DVD's to my server and CinemaSix
----can't play them. It's jerky and has bad audio drops and sync issues.

-It also has problem with my TS files. Drops in image and audio.

-I guess I will stick with Streamplayer for now.

I know it's a developer's version but I thought I would try it out.

Actually I just tried to play a NTSC .IFO file and the lip sync was really bad. Video played fine it looked like.
I know this is a Developers only version though.
But I thought I should mention the lip sync issue.
