First off, I ordered the "Clocks" Art Pack
#1 The docs say "Robot Clock, an interactive clock that features one
robot fixing problems in the engine room according to your commands.
Note: Robot Clock is included on the enclosed CD only, not on the
CompactFlash card"
No dice, not on CD
#2 The CF Card won't fit into the HD1000 CF slot
Other than that, I'm seriously beginning to lose confidence in both the
product and the company. Are we part of an extended beta? I exchanged a
few e-mails back in January with Anthony and was pretty much assured a
new update would be coming that would bring new functionality to the
HD1000.(primarily he music player) It's been over six months and not a
peep. While I understand the SoundBridge may be taking much of their
bandwidth, that product was also announced in January and has yet to
ship. (FWIW: I own TWO HD1000's and have a SoundBridge on order, so my
investment is not minimal)
I've sent a single e-mail to Anthony last week and I copied the
following people:
Shawn Andrews <***@rokulabs.com>
Van Krueger <***@rokulabs.com>
Don Woodward <***@rokulabs.com>
Mike Kobb <***@rokulabs.com>
Dan Sletten <***@rokulabs.com>
Not a response from the bunch.
So, here "publically" I'll ask what's the deal? Do I cut my losses and
put it all out on ebay? I really want this to work and I truly want
Roku to succeed, I feel as though I'm doing my part by buying your
products, can you honestly say you've been doing your part and
providing a stable and fully functional product? I now have five art
packs, yet only three display? Is this listed anywhere in a FAQ for
customers? I now know the answer is to create additional shares (by
searching the developers list)
I'm beginning to think of Roku as ReplayTV (the Company) 2.0, great
product potential with little follow through. Sorry to sound harsh, but
I'm open to having my opinion changed by your actions.
Sincerely,
Gene Archuletta
